Welcome to Joint Camp

Our joint camp at Brookwood Baptist Health serves as your essential guide in the joint replacement surgical process - providing you and your caregivers with instructions to prepare for your upcoming procedure. We want you involved in each step of the process to help ease fears and lessen anxiety for a smooth recovery.

What Happens During Joint Camp?

During this two-hour course, you will meet your assigned navigator who will work with you from the day you are scheduled for surgery, throughout your stay in our facility, all the way through 90 days post-op. Your navigator will provide support, including frequent check-ins, to ensure your recovery is progressing and answer any questions you have throughout the process.

During class, our team of physician therapists, case managers and nurses will help ensure you have the best surgery outcome possible by:

  • Educating you and your care team on what to expect before, during and after surgery
  • Identifying your unique needs to help you transition through each phase of the process
  • Providing encouragement to reach target goals for a speedy recovery and return to a healthier, more active lifestyle
