Citizens Baptist Medical Center today announced six staff have been honored by Tenet Healthcare as part of its annual recognition program. These team members have been named “Tenet Heroes” for their incredible contributions in 2020, including Larry Brown, Meg Gray, Kim Hayes, Cindy Martin, Gary Simmons and Leslie Yoder.

The Tenet Heroes program celebrates those individuals who make a meaningful impact within their respective communities that goes above and beyond their daily job responsibilities. Nominated by fellow colleagues, Tenet Heroes exemplify the company’s core values and key tenets of its Community Built on Care.

This group of Citizens team members was recognized because of their innovative solution during the pandemic to better protect their colleagues during aerosol generating procedures, as well as their creation of a mist tent using PVC pipe and plastic sheathing to create an added barrier of protection.

“We are grateful to this team for their ingenuity and passion in helping keep our staff, physicians and patients safe,” stated Citizens Baptist CEO, Frank Thomas. “Their actions inspire us to make a positive and meaningful impact in the lives of others. We are proud to have a number of our Citizens Baptist team members recognized with this distinction and greatly appreciate their contributions.”
