With roots extending nearly a century, the network’s community of care is comprised of five acute care hospitals with more than 1,700 licensed beds: Brookwood Baptist Medical Center, Princeton Baptist Medical Center, Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Walker Baptist Medical Center and Citizens Baptist Medical Center.

Brookwood Baptist Health also provides patients with the largest primary care network in the state, which includes approximately 60 primary and specialty care clinics; approximately 1,500 affiliated physicians; and nearly 7,300 employees. Princeton Baptist Medical Center Appoints New Associate Administrator

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – April 4, 2022 – Princeton Baptist Medical Center (PBMC) names Lavon Beard as its new Associate Administrator. Beard is an accomplished healthcare executive with over 20 years of hospital experience. He has demonstrated an ability to lead diverse teams to accomplish common goals.

Lavon Beard“Lavon brings a great deal of energy and experience to his new role at Princeton Baptist Medical Center,” said Princeton Baptist Medical Center CEO Mike Neuendorf. “We are excited for him to continue leading our hospital teams and helping us maintain our commitment to meeting the healthcare needs of the communities we serve.”

“I am excited about this opportunity to continue serving our patients and staff at Princeton Baptist Medical Center,” said Beard. “I look forward to working collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver high quality patient care.”

Beard came to Princeton Baptist Medical Center in 2018. In his most recent role as Director of Patient Experience, he assisted clinical teams to achieve exemplary patient satisfaction scores for their departments. Additionally, he was responsible for all aspects of several departments, which included Dialysis and Endoscopy.

Beard came to Princeton after 16 years of service at another local hospital in their physical therapy department. With master’s degrees in Health Administration, Business Administration and Physical Therapy, Beard has used his unique skillsets to serve patients in front and behind the scenes. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Jackson State University.
