Formerly Brookwood Medical Center and Baptist Health System, Brookwood Baptist Health unifies two of the largest resources for high-quality, affordable healthcare for the citizens of Central Alabama. With roots extending nearly a century, the network’s community of care is comprised of five acute care hospitals with more than 1,700 licensed beds: Brookwood Baptist Medical Center, Princeton Baptist Medical Center, Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Walker Baptist Medical Center and Citizens Baptist Medical Center.

Christy Wilson Named Chief Financial Officer of Walker Baptist Medical Center

JASPER, ALA. - Oct. 7, 2019 - Walker Baptist Medical Center names Christy Wilson, CPA as Chief Financial Officer. A seasoned financial leader with more than 15 years of healthcare financial experience, Christy joins the Brookwood Baptist Health family having recently served as Executive Director of the Neuro Institute the of University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss. Christy previously served as Chief Financial Officer at several hospitals in the Mississippi area, including Woman’s Hospital (Flowood), Crossgates River Oaks Hospital (Brandon) and Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center (Amory).

Christy earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master’s of Public Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. She has been a board certified public accountant in the State of Mississippi since 2010, and among her professional affiliations, she is a member of MSCPA, AICPA and HFMA and a former member of MGMA.
