Dr. John Eagan is a board-certified invasive and interventional cardiologist with Cardiovascular Associates. He has more than 30 years of experience diagnosing and treating heart and vascular disease, including:
- Arrhythmia
- Cardiovascular disease
- Complex valve disorders
- Congestive heart failure
- Coronary artery disease
- General and preventive cardiology
- Heart valve disease
- Ischemic heart disease
- Myocarditis and cardiomyopathy
- Venous insufficiency
Dr. Eagan believes in treating venous disease using state-of-the-art, minimally invasive ablation techniques to improve the appearance and function of lower extremity venous abnormalities. He encourages his patients to adopt a heart-healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Eagan’s Training
He earned his medical degree and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. His fellowship in cardiovascular disease was performed at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.

Board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, Dr. Eagan is a fellow of the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, American College of Cardiology, American College of Chest Physicians and American College of Angiology.
His father also was a cardiologist, and he attributes his interest in the field to his admiration of his father’s work.
