Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy Services
Find supportive care for every situation
It can be daunting to begin putting the pieces back together after a life-changing event. It takes patience, time, and effort to rebuild strength and increase mobility after a surgery, stroke, or injury. The medical professionals at Brookwood Baptist Health create a personalized rehabilitation program, which serves as a map to regaining a good quality of life. Our rehabilitation team will help you find the courage to start moving, and they’ll support you all the way.
Get your life back
Getting you back to a healthy lifestyle is our priority. That’s why our patients begin rehab as soon as possible. Experienced therapists, the proper tools, and work with your therapy team all help to improve your functional abilities and quality of life.
Certain injuries or conditions require intensive rehabilitation in a hospital setting. Our dedicated rehab units provide comprehensive therapy and nursing services as a result of cardiac and orthopedic procedures, surgery, and illness in a supportive, caring environment. Most patients work with a multi-disciplinary team of specialists, and they receive at least three hours of therapy, five days per week.

Other causes of lymphedema are trauma, infection, immobility and chronic venous insufficiencies. Brookwood Baptist Health also offers Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), which is a multi-faceted treatment that consists of manual lymph drainage, compression therapy, exercise, skincare and self-management education.
