Walker Baptist Medical Center Nurse, Matt Davidson, RN Named Among Top 10 Nurses in Alabama

Brookwood Baptist Health today announced Walker Baptist Medical Center nurse, Matthew Davidson, RN has been named among the top 10 nurses in Alabama by This is Alabama. A division of Alabama Media Group, This is Alabama honored the top 10 nurses at a virtual awards event broadcast on Sept. 24 via Facebook and YouTube.

During National Nurses Week in May, more than 500 nurses were nominated by patients, healthcare professionals and other nurses for the recognition. According to This is Alabama, a panel of healthcare leaders and the Alabama Nursing Association combined to identify the top 10 most inspiring nurses across the state and an additional 45 finalists.

When asked about his decision to become a nurse, Davidson said, "I am a Christian. I have always felt that God has drawn me to the career of nursing. He's definitely given me the gifts needed to care for my patients."
