Brookwood Baptist Health, Walker Baptist name new chief financial officers

BIRMINGHAM (Jan. 14, 2016) – Two hospitals in the Brookwood Baptist Health/Baptist Health System network in central Alabama have selected new chief financial officers for their leadership teams.

Brookwood said Brandon Williams has joined the 607-bed full-service acute care hospital in Birmingham as CFO, succeeding Doug Carter, who was promoted to the market office to serve as chief financial officer in the combined healthcare company.

Williams joins Brookwood from East Cooper Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, where he was responsible for oversight of the facility’s financial operations for the previous four years. Brookwood and East Cooper Medical Center are part of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp., one of the nation’s largest healthcare services companies.

Williams has been with Tenet Healthcare for 12 years, serving in various finance roles in hospitals and at the corporate headquarters. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves as an advisor and CFO mentor in the Tenet Finance Academy. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia College and State University.

Walker Baptist in Jasper said Amanda C. Dyle, who has more than 18 years of experience in healthcare accounting and financial management, has been named CFO at the 267-bed acute care hospital. She succeeds John Langlois, who now serves as president of Walker Baptist.

Dyle most recently served as the chief financial officer at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, South Carolina. Prior to that, she served as assistant chief financial officer at the Atlanta Medical Center in Georgia. She began her career with Tenet as controller at Northshore Regional Medical Center in Slidell, Louisiana. Dyle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Business Administration from William Carey College.

Tenet and Birmingham-based Baptist Health System announced plans in late 2014 to form a new organization combining Brookwood and Baptist’s four hospitals to create a new model of cost-efficient, innovative healthcare delivery. The central Alabama network has five hospitals – Brookwood and Princeton Baptist (Birmingham), Shelby Baptist (Alabaster), Walker Baptist (Jasper) and Citizens Baptist (Talladega).
