Gardendale Surgical Center Joins Brookwood Medical Center

Birmingham, AL (November 25, 2015) – Brookwood Medical Center is pleased to announce that the Gardendale Surgical Center has been acquired as an additional outpatient facility to serve the Birmingham area. This ambulatory surgery center provides stellar customer service, excellent clinical outcomes and convenient access. 

“We are honored to have the privilege of working with the superb physicians at Gardendale Surgery Center and for the opportunity to better serve Gardendale and surrounding communities,” said Chuck Stark, Brookwood Chief Executive Officer. “We believe local employers and the community appreciate the ability to have care provided close to their businesses and homes, and this facility creates value for the community.”

The multi-specialty outpatient surgical center opened in February 2010. The acquisition between Brookwood Medical Center and Gardendale Surgical Center was completed in August 2015. Some of the major surgical services provided at the Gardendale location include:

  • Gastroenterology
  • Orthopedics
  • Ophthalmology
  • Pain management
  • General and specialty surgical services
