Brookwood Baptist Medical Center Recertifies as a Bariatric Center of Excellence

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - Brookwood Baptist Medical Center today announced it achieved recertification as a Bariatric Center of Excellence (COE) by Optum, a leading information and technology-enabled health services business. Inclusion in the Optum COE network means the bariatric program meets or exceeds nationally recognized standards of care. The COE network membership also offers further evidence of the high standards upon which the bariatric professionals of Brookwood Baptist Medical Center pride themselves with exceptional healthcare delivered daily.

The comprehensive bariatric program at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center, which offers hope and health to thousands of people, encompasses gastric bypass, gastric sleeve and gastric band.
