Brookwood Baptist Health Celebrates National Hospital and Healthcare Week 2021

May 11, 2021

National Hospital and Healthcare Week is May 9-15, a week specifically set aside to celebrate hospitals and show thanks and appreciation to those who work in them, for the vital role they play in the health of our community. This year’s theme, Inspiring Hope through Healing, recognizes the hope our healthcare workers provide despite an ongoing pandemic, and acknowledges their efforts on behalf of patients and the community.

Hospital-week“The past year has been a devastating time for our nation and for the world, but despite the monumental challenges, our technicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, doctors and many others remained a steadfast force against COVID, helping to keep our communities safer,” said Brookwood Baptist Health CEO, Tim Puthoff. “Their work has been nothing short of miraculous.”

Since 1921, hospitals across the country have been celebrating National Hospital and Healthcare Week. The event has grown over the past 100 years and is now the nation’s largest health care event, celebrating the history, technology and dedicated professionals who make hospitals and healthcare facilities beacons of confidence and care.

Across the Brookwood Baptist Health System, our hospitals are celebrating our healthcare heroes by hosting a series of events and promotions throughout the week, including appreciation gifts, sweet treats, games, prize drawings and more.
