Support Services at Brookwood Baptist Health

Beyond Care

More than caring for our patients, we are committed to making sure patients feel cared for. In addition to excellent medical care, that means receiving a comprehensive suite of services, resources, and amenities. From newspaper service and free WiFi to our chaplains and interpreters, we dedicate ourselves to creating a comfortable and helpful atmosphere for you so you can see the best results.

Chaplain Services

Our chaplains are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to offer prayer, spiritual guidance and support to patients and family members. Talk to your nurse to request chaplain services.

Interpreters

Brookwood Baptist Health provides language interpreters by phone for all foreign language speaking patients and family members. During your stay, ask a nurse or patient care giver for interpreter assistance.

For the Hearing Impaired

For the hearing impaired—we provide sign language services. Your nurse or patient caregiver can make the proper arrangements to accommodate your needs.

Mail and Newspapers

Our volunteers deliver newspapers and patient mail every day. Letters and parcels that arrive after you have been discharged are sent back to the sender.

Wireless Internet

Wireless internet is available in patient rooms, the cafeteria, and waiting areas throughout the hospital. Patients and visitors are welcome to use their personal laptops, tablets, and phones.

Smoking Policy

Brookwood Baptist Health hospitals are non-smoking facilities. Smoking is not allowed on any hospital campus.

Special Needs at Discharge

There are occasions when patients need additional treatment or care after they are discharged from the hospital. Please contact Case Management or your nurse if you need assistance with discharge planning, including home health care, outpatient rehab or other therapies.

Transportation Service

After you have been discharged, a member of our hospital staff will assist you to the car.

Wheelchairs

Wheelchairs are available on all nursing units. Please ask a member of our hospital staff for assistance if a wheelchair is needed.

Our chapels and spiritual care staff are here to provide comfort during trying times, and share in joyous ones.
